Norfolk County Council Temporary Traffic Regulation Order 2025
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 16A, As Amended By The Road Traffic Regulation (Special Events) Act 1994 in the City of Norwich
Temporary Restrictions of Traffic Movement
The Secretary of State for Transport has given his consent to the making of this Order pursuant to Section 16B(6) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Norfolk County Council as the Traffic Authority for the Administrative County of Norfolk makes this Order in exercise of its powers under Section 16A of the RTRA 1984 over an area of the highway being the below-mentioned roads in the City of Norwich to facilitate the staging of various events:
Pride Norwich City Centre (Multiple Events) 2025 (Section 16A) Order
The restrictions at 3.8.1(a) shall have effect between 09:00 and 18:00 on Saturday 26th July 2025
(a) Traffic over the following roads shall be prohibited and shall be temporarily prohibited to park, stop, load, and/or unload in all existing parking bays only whilst the restrictions are indicated on site:
Theatre Street for its entire length, Rampant Horse Street for its entire length, Gentleman’s Walk for its entire length, Brigg Street for its entire length, Hay Hill for its entire length, Haymarket for its entire length, St Peter’s Street Motorbike Park for its entire length.
The restrictions at 3.8.2(a) shall have effect between 10:30 and 14:45 on Saturday 26th July 2025
(a) Traffic over the following roads shall be prohibited and shall be temporarily prohibited to park, stop, load, and/or unload in all existing parking bays only whilst the restrictions are indicated on site:
Bethel Street from its junction with Forum Car Park Entrance to its junction with St Peters Street, St Peters Street for its entire length.
The restrictions at 3.8.3(a) and 3.8.3(b) shall have effect between 12:45 and 14:30 on Saturday 26th July 2025
(a) Traffic over the following roads shall be prohibited and shall be temporarily prohibited to park, stop, load, and/or unload in all existing parking bays only whilst the restrictions are indicated on site:
St Giles Street for its entire length, Gaol Hill for its entire length, Guildhall Hill for its entire length, Exchange Street for its entire length, London Street for its entire length, Little London Street for its entire length, Castle Street for its entire length, Bedford Street for its entire length, Davey Place for its entire length.
(b) Traffic over the following road shall be subject to a suspension of the one-way system:
Upper Goat Lane for its entire length.
The restrictions at 3.8.4(a) shall have effect between 12:45 and 16:00 on Saturday 26th July 2025
(a) Traffic over the following roads shall be prohibited and shall be temporarily prohibited to park, stop, load, and/or unload in all existing parking bays only whilst the restrictions are indicated on site:
Chapel Field North for its entire length, Chapel Field East for its entire length, Chantry Road for its entire length, Malthouse Road for its entire length.
